    Professor Nigel Wood, PhD, has been an active researcher into the history and technology of ceramics since the late 1970s, specialising in Far Eastern wares. He trained at the WSCAD Farnham, and in traditional English country potteries. From 1973-84 he worked full-time making stoneware, terra-cotta and porcelain at his own workshop in Hampshire.

Study Day on Imperial Yellow Porcelain

OCS/Percival David Foundation/British Museum event

Nigel Wood has very kindly agreed to lead a Study Day on Imperial yellow porcelain on March 6th, 2020 at the British Museum, as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the PDF coming to the British Museum.  There will be a handling session for 15 OCS members in the morning 12:00 to 13:00 then a break for lunch (members’ own arrangements) and Nigel will present his lecture from 14:30 to 15:30. The lecture room can seat 50. The venue is the PDC study room off Room 95 and members can sign up to the handling session and the lecture or only the lecture.
